Chyna Is Being Inducted Into WWE Hall of Fame 2 Years After Her Death

Legendary WWE female wrestler Chyna is being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame next month as a founding member of D-Generation X (DX).

While fans are thrilled the late wrestler is getting recognized, several are not happy that she is being inducted as part of a six-person faction, rather than a “singles competitor.”

The announcement came from ESPN’s Tim Fiorvanti, who revealed that Chyna would be joined by Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn and X-Pac in the DX group. The group was originally formed in ’97 as a trio featuring Triple H, Michaels and Chyna. They “collectively helped bring crotch chops and ‘suck it’ into the pop culture mainstream during the peak of its powers,” according to ESPN.

“I think it’s the most meaningful for us all to go in together and to be recognized together,” Paul “Triple H” Levesque told the outlet. “It’d be tough to pick a female that was more impactful on the business. She did something that was completely so out of left field that it wasn’t even being considered when we first brought it up for her to come in. It wasn’t even a consideration … it wasn’t an easy thing, and against all odds she did all of that. She earned everybody’s trust. She won over the fans. She won over the boys. She did all of it,” he added of Chyna.

As the deal was completed, United provide a possible insight into how he is regarded at the club.
Emeran was given a framed shirt with his name above the iconic No.7 - currently worn by miss-firing Chilean Sanchez, by a club official.
The shirt number has been associated with some of the club's greatest ever players, with George Best, David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo having all graced the jersey.
But Sanchez has divided opinion in Manchester due to his uncertain form which has seen him net just five goals in 13 months since joining from Arsenal.

Shaks wrote on Twitter: "Start him ASAP."
Andrew McDonagh stated: "Don’t even know who he is and I’d already start him over Sanchez."

EPL: Liverpool Regain Top Spot After Defeating Bournemouth At Home

Liverpool stormed back to the top of the Premier League with a dominant 3-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday.

Sadio Mane scored for the fourth consecutive top-flight match in the 24th minute, after which point Jurgen Klopp's side kicked into top gear to banish the memory of their lacklustre back-to-back draws against Leicester City and West Ham.
Mane opened the scoring in both of those games as well, but fabulously worked goals from the returning Georginio Wijnaldum and Mohamed Salah ensured there was no chance of another wobble.
Manchester City will return to the summit on goal difference if they beat Chelsea on Sunday. Such fine margins being at play mean Klopp might have liked to see a few more added to their tally as his team cut Bournemouth apart at will.

2019 Election: Moghalu Reacts to Soyinka’s Endorsement

The presidential candidate of the Young Progressives Party, Kingsley Moghalu, has described the endorsement of his candidature by Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka, as “humbling.”

Mr Moghalu, a former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, said in a statement Saturday that the endorsement was important because of Mr Soyinka’s reputation and the “elaborate process” his Citizen Forum went through before reaching their decision.

“Our party – the Young Progressives Party – and I, salute the courage and the good judgment of the Nobel Laureate and icon of democratic struggle in Nigeria,” Mr Moghalu said in the statement.

Mr Soyinka, a professor, had announced on Friday the decision of his Citizen Forum to throw their weight behind Mr Moghalu, describing the YPP candidate as the most qualified among the presidential candidates.

Arsenal Release 24-man Squad List For The Europa League Last 32 Fixtures

Arsenal has released the 24-man squad list for the Europa League knockout phase and there's one major surprise.

The North London club is facing injury crisis in central defence, that makes the omission of Konstantinos Mavropanos notable as that leaves Laurent Koscielny, Sokratis and Skhodran Mustafi as the three senior men.

The reason why the Greek defender hasn't been included is because of an UEFA rule which states a 25-man squad must have a minimum of eight locally-trained players and if a club cannot name eight, the total number of players in the squad reduces accordingly.

With Emiliano Martinez - who counted as one of the eight locally-trained players - leaving to join Reading on loan for the remainder of the season during the January transfer window, the Gunners' squad has been reduced to 24 as a result.

Mavropanos can't make the 'B-list' either as he doesn't meet certain UEFA Requirements.

UEFA rules state that: "A player may be registered on List B if he is born on, or after, 1 January 1997 and has been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted period of two years since his 15th birthday (players aged 16 may be submitted if they have been registered with the club for the previous two years). Clubs are entitled to register an unlimited number of players on List B during the season, but the list must be submitted by no later than 24:00CET the day before a match."

January loan signing Denis Suarez does make the squad as he looks for a repeat of the 2014/15 season when he lifted the trophy under the guidance of Unai Emery.

Injured players such as Hector Bellerin, Danny Welbeck and Rob Holding are set to miss the remainder of the campaign, but have been kept in the squad, probably due to them being locally-trained players.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Eddie Nketiah are among those included in the b-list, so are likely to feature as Emery looks to guide the north London outfit back into the Champions League via the Europa League route.

The Gunners have been paired against BATE Borisov in the round of 32 stage, with the first-leg taking place in Belarus later this month.

Mohamed Salah Joins Fernando Torres In Premier League Fastest 50 Goals

Mohamed Salah became the fourth fastest player to 50 Premier League goals during Liverpool’s enthralling 4-3 win over Crystal Palace.

Jurgen Klopp ’s side moved seven points clear at the top of the table, ahead of Manchester City’s visit to Huddersfield on Sunday, after a rousing second-half comeback.
Roy Hodgson’s side put a significant dent in City’s title hopes last month and were on track to cause another major upset when Andros Townsend’s goal gave the visitors a deserved half-time lead.

Salah, however, restored parity less than a minute into the second period and Roberto Firmino turned the game on its head just eight minutes later.
A thumping James Tomkins header levelled matters in the 65th minute before a dreadful Julian Speroni error gifted Liverpool the lead and Salah his 50th Premier League goal in just his 72nd appearance, matching the record of former Reds striker Fernando Torres.

Sadio Mane wrapped up the win late on but there was still time for Max Meyer to cause a few anxious moments after he reduced the deficit in injury time.
Reacting to Salah’s exploits, Klopp said: ‘He’s world class. Simply world class.

La Liga President Welcomes Jose Mourinho To La Liga.

La Liga President Javier Tebas has said former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is welcomed should he decide to make a return to the Spanish topflight.

Mourinho ended Barcelona’s three-year dominance of La Liga under Pep Guardiola by guiding Real Madrid to the title in the 2011-12 season, and is remembered fondly at the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez reportedly wants Mourinho to return to the club, despite appointing Santiago Solari as head coach until 2021. “It would not be a bad thing for La Liga,” Tebas told Catalan radio station RAC1, when asked about a potential return to Spain for Mourinho.

“He is a fantastic coach who has many qualities and it would be a great spectacle, it would be fantastic to have him here, but who knows what club would it be.” Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar has also been linked with a return to La Liga at either Barcelona or Real Madrid.
