Former Barcelona Star Ronaldinho has been Arrested by the Police for using fake Passport

Former Barcelona and Brazil international Ronaldinho has been held by the police in Paraguayo for allegedly using a fake passport.

Ronaldinho and his brother, Roberto Assis have been questioned  at the Resort Yacht & Golf Club Paraguayo on Wednesday.

The 39-year-old, who retired from football in 2018, was said to have traveled to Paraguay for charity and his book lunch.

However, he has denied any act of wrong doing, claiming that they were deceived by a businessman, Wilmondes Sousa Lira, who is from Brazil.

But according to Paraguay’s interior minister Euclides Acevedo, Ronaldinho and his brother were not detained since they were under judicial investigation.

Ronaldinho won the World Cup with Brazil in 2002, with two La Liga titles for Barcelona, as well as the Champions League in 2006 and FIFA World Player of the Year in 2004 and 2005.
